HP recalls laptop battery recall

Got an HP laptop? Check this out:

[tag]Hewlett Packard[/tag] is [tag]recall[/tag]ing around 135,000 [tag]battery[/tag] packs for some HP and Compaq laptops because of overheating issues.

The lithium ion rechargeable battery packs in question are used with [tag]HP[/tag] [tag]Pavilion[/tag], [tag]Compaq[/tag] [tag]Presario[/tag], HP Compaq and Compaq [tag]Evo[/tag] laptops.

HP has received sixteen reports of overheating batteries, four in the US.

The recalled packs have a barcode label code that begins with:

  • GC
  • IA
  • L0
  • L1
