eBay tries to prevent iFraud

The iPhone has been hyped to the point that buyers looking to get an iOrgasm iPhone on eBay need protecting from themselves and potential scammers.  Because of this eBay has put restrictions in place on the sale of iPhones .  Here are the restrictions (my thoughts in italics):

Using rice to dry out soaked gadgets

Interesting idea :

A Washington Post reporter who accidentally dropped his Blackberry in the toilet was able to retrieve it and dry it out to working order again: by leaving it turned off in a bowl of uncooked rice.

Never tried it myself but it feels like a long-shot to me because most gadgets are sealed so [...]
