I think he might be right ... there are good blogs but there is also a huge expanse of wasteland out there (same applies to the web as a whole).

However, first prize for acute observation has to go to Hugh MaCleod for his cartoon. I'm not sure if this is a new drawing today or not but given the post it's quite apt. I've noticed over the last few months a shift in many company blogs to talking about blogging rather than using blogging as a vehicle to talk about important issues relating to their customers.
