Microsoft posts workaround for Internet Explorer 6 problem

December 20th, 2007

Do you find that your Internet Explorer 6 is crashing more since the last Patch Tuesday?  If so, it's down to a dodgy patch released.

The problem only seems to affect Windows XP SP2 users running IE6, but if you're affected, this is a major pain in the rear.

Microsoft has released some information regarding this issue, along with a workaround.  Unfortunately the workaround involved digging in the registry - so that could cause more problems unless you know what you're doing.

If you're affected, the instructions for the registry tweak can be found here.
