Running Vista on a PC with 512MB of RAM

March 5th, 2007

Question: Would you run Vista on a PC with 512MB of RAM or would you add more?

I have run Vista (even Windows Vista Ultimate) on a PC with 512MB of RAM and it works, but I’d recommend that if you are shelling out money on an upgrade (or buying a new PC) that you look at 1GB as being the point at which you get good performance.

I find that Vista performance continues to improve the more RAM you add, so the more you can add the better!
