How to enable/disable Aero Glass in Vista?
February 14th, 2007
Is there a way to disable/enable the Aero Glass interface in Windows Vista or am I stuck with it all the time? I'd like to be able to turn it off if I need to. Thanks!
Yes. It's pretty easy to switch between Aero Glass and Aero Basic (or any of the other themes):
- Right-click on a blank spot on your your desktop and select Personalize.
- Select Windows Color and Appearance.
- From the list of color schemes, choose any of the themes except Windows Aero (try Windows Vista Basic).
- Click OK.
To re-enable Aero Glass:
- Right-click on a blank spot on your your desktop and select Personalize.
- Select Windows Color and Appearance.
- From the list of color schemes, choose Windows Vista Basic.
- Click OK.
