NES … on a PocketPC

June 14th, 2005

It's amazing what you find!

I have an old but still in good working order NES (Nintendo Entertainment System for those who don't remember!) that still gets used and played with regularly. These were TV game consoles from about 15 years ago and have some really good games (OK, graphics are cheesy but the games are good!). As far as I know the only place for any replacement parts would be a museum.

These were built to last too, unlike the PS2 that's had to have a new game pad.

Anyway, I've been worried that the day will come when it dies and all the games (that live on little plastic cartridges) become obsolete but today I've found out that you can get it to work on PocketPC using PocketNester. Add to that the fact that you can also link up the controller to the iPAQ too (full link here)!

How cool is that!
