ITsafe Warning 06-016

What is it?
A number of problems in Microsoft products.

What does it affect?
The more serious problems concerning software likely to be used by ITsafe users will affect Microsoft Windows version 2000, XP and 2003 (MS06-068 and MS06-070), and Internet Explorer (MS06-067). Users who have added the "MSXML" option will also be affected by MS06-071, which fixes the problem detailed at News Item 06-034.

There are also some lesser problems with Microsoft Windows (MS06-066), and a problem with Adobe's Macromedia Flash Player which was already covered at News Item 06-027.

What does it do?
The more serious of these problems could enable an attacker to gain control of your computer.

How do I fix it?
Patch your software by downloading updates from Microsoft. Patches are
available from the Microsoft Update Web site or by activating Automatic
Updates. For more information about updating Microsoft software see advice on the Website of our partners at Get Safe Online:
