If you are buying a new PC be between now and when Windows Vista is launched and you want to make sure that your new PC will be up to the challenge of running Windows Vista then this is the logo that you want to be looking for:

The "Vista Capable" logo.
Absence of this logo doesn't mean that Windows Vista won't run on it, it's just that PCs that carry this logo are certified as passing the hardware requirements necessary.
