Internet Explorer 7 users will get a nifty new feature – this is designed to keep the browser more secure.
What does it do? It monitors your security settings. If you make changes to your security settings so that they become insecure for the Internet and Restricted zones then two things will happen:
- An information bar will appear at the top of the browser that will present the “Fix Settings for Me …” option.
- Your homepage will be replaced by a warning page.
Choosing “Fix Settings for Me…” will give permission to Internet Explorer to tighten up the security settings for the Restricted and Internet zones, thus keeping the browser and the operating system safer.
