Problems with your Outlook .pst file
February 17th, 2006
Are you having problems with your Outlook .pst file? If you are then you might need to run the Inbox Repair Tool (called scanpst.exe).
Fire the utility, browse to the file and start a scan and the Inbox Repair Tool will correct most of the common problems that occur with .pst files.
A common problem with Outlook .pst files is that they get bigger than 2GB and prevent you having access to them to delete items from it - the Inbox Repair Tool will fix the affected .pst file so that you can gain access to it.
You might already have the Inbox Repair Tool installed (look in C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Mapi\1033) or alternatively you can download it from Microsoft. If you use Outlook it's worthwhile having this utility handy!
